You get up early in the morning,  freshen up and with a cup of steaming tea or brewed coffee, go for your android. Well, that is the first thing you do.  It is the foremost activity of the day for many of us too. You start conveying good morning greetings to your friends and loved ones. You start browsing through the official mails on your android and start taking the required action. Breakfast is over and you are off to your workplace. On the way, you buy petrol for your vehicle using the QR code. You have reached the office and logged in to your outlook express. Well, that is the way how things stand today. Wrap yourself up in digitalisation.  Digitalisation is the key thing now. Learn the modus operandi of digitalisation soonest. The sooner the better or else you will miss the bus. Digitalisation is here and will stay as of now.

Various search engines, portals and websites describe the meaning of digitalisation as converting a text, an image, sound etc into digital format. It is nothing but adapting and converting data or images into digital form. Today our normal life is complete with both artificial intelligence and digitalisation in agriculture, foods, entertainment, business, health family welfare and education right down to sports, lifestyle and the environment.

Digitalisation in business — Now we cannot think of any business without digitalisation as the core part of its operating procedure. Digitalisation has elevated the SOP of any business to a superior level. Moreover, the cost-benefit of operations has gone up by leaps and bounds as the entrepreneurs feel.

Digitalisation in education — We have to rather make a list the other way round. Jokes apart, the list would contain what all in education is not covered by digitalisation  !! Computers, laptops, mobiles, various educational apps, online meeting apps, online tutorials, software apps, and the internet, all are priceless contributions to digitalisation for the benefit of students of all ages.

Digitalisation in healthcare — Two of the first-class examples that come to our mind immediately as one thinks of digitalisation in healthcare isthe methodicalmonitoring of patients fromtheir detailed medical data to systematic scrutiny and follow-up care on the conditions of patients.

Digitalisation in the entertainment sector — The latest lexicons like streaming, multimedia, OTT platform, interactive entertainment, gaming, social media, influencers, computer graphics and content creation are the most familiar languages of digitalisation in the entertainment sector.

Digitalisation in our household — Look at any Indian household today — you will concur that digitalisation has paved for itself a concrete place in our daily chores. From the latest models of washing machines, OTG  and digital rice cookers to online shopping and food delivery apps, it is a win-win situation for digitalisation all the way.

Digitalisation in the Government —- The biggest and the most common specifics of digitalisation for the public domain in our country are the introductions and implementations of Adhaar card, voter identity card, PAN card, digital ration card applicable for the entire nation, CERT in, Phone Pe, Digilocker, BHIM, NREGA Soft, E panchayat, MYGOV, free Wi-Fi and Smart cities. More revolutionary plans are in the offing.

Digitalisation and social life —- Social media today regulates life for almost all of us. Netizen is the new expression for the social media buffs that we relate to now. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp, and Telegram, are faddy and trendsetting today. We can connect with our friends anywhere under the sun through the click of the mouse or fingertips in the twinkling of an eye. Thanks to digitality.

Digitalisation too has its flaws. We seldom try to meet our friends and relatives now. Instead, we are happy to chat with them through social media. Data security, media manipulation, privacy complexity and job insecurities are the major grey areas and hitch.

Digitalisation will continue to have an edge and sway during our times. Productivity has increased in all fields. Many official processes are streamlined, and operational costs have gone down. Human error is almost a thing of the past. Decision-making has become far-sighted and prudent. People are smarter and more agile today. Analog is a term of the bygone days.
