Life is all about keeping an equilibrium of relationships in the most feasible manner. Often there occur some instances where people fail to keep the equilibrium thereby leading to disastrous consequences. Now, there arises a number of questions that could be kept unanswered.
Ego at the workplace could lead to a degraded culture: Often you come across a situation at your workplace where your junior colleagues seem to learn and know better than you in certain spheres of knowledge. But, in such a situation, there might arouse a clash of ideas and of course ego. A senior chartered accountant might have a vast deal of knowledge and an array of experience, but his juniors might enlighten him on some of the most modern trends; that’s an advantage anyways.
Your workplace might be a place to learn even the minutest details, irrespective of your years of experience.
Ego with your kids might make them spoilt brats: Your kids are your responsibility and they would bear the trait they’ve imbibed from you genetically, mainly. But, being a clan of the generation Z or Alpha, they might hold advanced views that you will appreciate. In fact, bringing up a kid might not be your cup of tea always. Is it the fact that you are imposing your views or maybe the view you grew up with? If you have followed the age-old tradition of being brought up as an adult- that might not work for the gen-next.
Starting from the ways of leading a life, choosing a career, choosing a lifestyle, or even choosing a spouse, you might be facing a number of hitches while bringing up your kid. Well, change is the only constant thing, and your parenting ideas might see a huge change while you are close to this generation. You might realize at certain times that your child’s happiness is the most desired thing, sometimes more than a traditional value.
Ego with your spouse/ partner might take you nowhere: The most precious relationship on earth is that you share with your spouse or your partner. You are not related by blood, yet you are close and have taken a vow to be with each other. There would arise a number of problems and you would try hard to sort them, every day maybe.
Earning potential, responsibility even sexual satisfaction could be the main barrier in a relationship. To win over the same, let’s cut your ego and let the relationship grow.
Ego and relationship are like your nail and nail-cutter. When the ego overgrows your relationship, cut your ego but vice versa is not true.
